Fun Run
Thursday 6th August
REMINDER:
Adidas School Fun Run Tomorrow, Friday 7th August
* Parents and families are welcome to join us.
* Children need to wear their uniform to school
* Children need to bring a shirt in their Whanau colour to change into later
* They may choose to wear shoes when they run or run barefoot
* Bring a named towel to dry their feet and legs if they run bare feet - optional for those who wish to do so.
* Still time to register online to get sponsors
* Sausage sizzle at lunch time for those who ordered by Tuesday this week.
Children will change back into their uniform before going home, so will need a
plastic bag to put all dirty items in.
We are all hoping for fine weather tomorrow and would like the children to
bring all the above items to school regardless of the weather in the morning.
A decision whether to run or to cancel if the weather deteriorates will be
made as late in the day as possible as the children are all keen to do their Fun
Run together and get their prizes.

6.30 pm Middle
school teachers and parents meet in Room 8 for their’ Meet the Teacher’ chat.
7.00 pm
Everyone meets in the Hall. Welcome to all parents, staff introductions,
and school messages.
7.30 pm Junior
School, Senior School and Montessori teacher and parents go to their ‘Meet the
teacher’ session. Year 2s are meeting in
Room 16.
Swimming:
Thanks to all those families who have named their
children’s swimming gear and school uniform items. It is great to see that most children
remember their swimming caps every lesson so they enjoy our lovely pool and
beautiful weather.
Ice block
Fridays
If you would like your child to have an ice block, please remember they are only available on Fridays. Please send $1 to your child’s teacher on Friday morning.

Homework
Reading: Read your
reader each night and your poem on Friday.
Write all of these in your log. The
logs need to be handed in every Friday for marking and so your child can get
their next certificate.
